Inner Chorus

 
I listen to the voices
of many great masters,
Buddha & Rumi & Jesus & Mary & Mohammed
among the rosters.
 
While some of us prefer to cling
to the teachings of only one
as a voice a cappella might sing out
from the heart of a person,
 
I long for the wisdom
gleaned through instruments of many
in a concert brought together 
with perfect harmony.
 
As I acknowledge
 joy with the chorus
of a single master
sung solo for us
 
I ask that you
respect my choice to dare
to bring the world together
for a recital in which all can share
 
Please do consider
allowing your self to perform it too
for this song of many voices
is sung with and for me and you ...
