After graduating from the University of Minnesota with majors in Communication and in Journalism plus a strong study of art, Tamara began her career in advertising with such firms as BBDO and Ogilvy & Mather.  She earned awards for creative excellence and for efficacy.

Next, Tamara shifted to marketing with such firms as Teleflora, Jafra Cosmetics a Gillette Company, and Sebastian International, receiving awards for new product innovation and merchandising innovation.  While working full time, Tamara achieved her MBA at California Lutheran University. 

Tamara established SandDollar Cosmetics Inc in the summer of 2004.  The brand was enveloped by another company and will soon be re-launched in an effort to expand reach.

Expanding on the services business, Tamara branched out with Tamara Parisio ~ Art & Industry to provide design solutions to support business goals.  Clients include Alpaz Group, Heaven Sent Jewelry, Edwards & Sons LLC, Capital Construction, Freedom Fitness Formula, Cafe Carolina and more.

Other interests include family, friends, education, fitness, writing, reading, oil painting, and meditation.  Tamara writes a variety of columns, including "The Peaceful Parent" for Living Peace.

And, Tamara is co-Founder of Stay Home Entrepreneur, S.H.E., a network of moms who employ their talents in their own businesses while managing their families.
